Queen Elephantine on Vice Guide to Travel
Queen Elephantine supplies five songs to the soundtrack for the Vice Guide To Travel: Prostitutes of God.
Tracks featured are Ramesses I and Ramesses III from the split with Elder, Kabir from Surya, Khora from Kailash, and To Tartarus from the To Tartarus EP.
In Prostitutes of God, VBS travels to the Indian city of Sangli to meet a group of bolshy sex workers selling their bodies in the name of the Hindu Goddess Yellamma. Local sex worker Anitha invites us for lunch in her brothel; shows us her homemade “sex rooms,” and tells us what it’s like to be a religious prostitute in modern India.
